3rd Illegal Drug Arrest Means Paris Hilton Has No Appeal Through Police Officers
Socialite and hotel heiress Paris Hilton can't keep herself out of the headlines. She's been arrested for drugs, all over again. Evidently, she can learn to get a cab, however not to leave her illegal harmful drugs at home. She got busted for possession of cocaine in Las Vegas. You've to be doing something pretty obvious if that happens. Evidently, her two arrests within the last month for marijuana just were not enough for her.
It's no legal laughing matter for Paris Hilton to take a toke
Paris Hilton was evidently cruising the Las Vegas strip, driven by her boyfriend in an SUV. As outlined by the New York Post, a motorcycle cop smelled pot smoke coming from the car and pulled them over. As her personal effects were being searched, she asked the law enforcement officer if she could get some lip balm from her purse. That is when the plot thickened. A baggie containing what appeared to be cocaine fell from her bag. There were wrapping papers, the kind one could presumably roll joints with, in her purse as well. The police arrested Hilton, and that's when the Paris Hilton cocaine story began circulating.
Hilton could do some time
There were approximately .8 ounces of cocaine within the bag. This won't just mean a fine. Hilton is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. The Cheech to her Chong, Harold to her Kumar, or Cy Waits only was booked on a misdemeanor charge of DUI. Hilton denied that the baggie belonged to her. True to form, she Tweeted about this. Also true to form, her fans Tweeted their support for her. Hilton is also saying the search was improper, and she is expected to contest it at her trial. Hilton could be looking at a 15 year sentence and $500,000 in fines at the maximum.
Not the first time somebody has utilized that line
This is illegal substance arrest number 3 for her. She was arrested twice in July for possessing marijuana, in South Africa during the 2010 World Cup, and days later in Corsica for the very same crime. However, she was released both times. Still, since she is becoming noted for her use of illegal contraband, a judge may be more likely to throw the book at her should she be convicted.
