Frequently Asked Questions...
Hulk and Thing in Fantastic Four , who is better? What different supernatural powers do they have? ?
2.How are X-Men and Superman's X-ray vision different?
Answer:
Thing is much better. He can use his mind (such as it is)
The Thing from the FF is just strong (and rocky) The hulk's strength comes from his rage. In the comics, it's said that the madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets. In a crossover in the 90's Superman had to battle Hulk and he realized that if he didn't beat him quick, Superman would actually lose. If Hulk can't smash it, he gets madder and stronger with no upward limit.
Superman's x-ray vision is basically just that: X-Ray vision. He can see through things. He also has heat vision that acts like infra-red beams. Cyclops, from the X-Men, has a concussive eye beam. Not sure that's been satisfactorily explained but that's what it's called. When Cyclops zaps thing with his beams, they won't catch fire, and he can't see through things.
Unlike Superman, Cyclops has no natural control over his concussive beams. He can't turn them off and needs those ruby lenses to stop the beams. The lenses also allow him to direct and focus them much as a ruby focuses a laser.
