How to open really hard back cover of watch?
I have a Fossil watch whose battery I want to change. I am trying to open the back cover with a watch case opener that I just purchased, something that resembles a knife, but it seems to be so hard. I've opened two of my other watches with ease, but this Fossil watch seems to be really hard to open. I'm starting to scratch the watch everywhere. Is there a special procedure for this? Is it just the Fossil watch that's designed in a different way?

Answer:
Perhaps the back is screwed on, not snapped on. If there are two or four indentations round the edge, it will need a special spanner to open it.
