Comic-Con 2011 Four-day Pass Product Sales Postponed
Comic-Con 2010 is barely over, however Comic-Con 2011 is currently on the brain. There were complex issues with registration for the 2011 Comic-Con. The organizers shut down product sales for at least a week. Comic-Con 2011 organizers will announce on Nov. 8 when the four-day passes will go on sale.
Passes sold for Comic-Con 2011
Comic-Con 2011 was scheduled to start selling four-day passes today. The Comic-Con site overloaded really quickly after registration opened. There was a quick return for the website. The company didn’t process numerous registrations though. After a little bit of time, Comic-Con shut down registration totally. Registration partners shut down also. Only 13 percent of accessible badges were sold, but most of those were pre-sales to specialty customers.
2011 Comic-Con badges marketed once more
Comic Con badges in 2011 are rare. There aren’t many that will sell. The number of memberships for the convention are always limited, and scalped Comic-Con badges are always of concern. Today there were some Comic-Con 2011 badges marketed. Hardly any came from registration. Registration will re-open soon which is good for those generating a trip to California. In seven days, the date of that registration will be announced.
Planning the 2011 Comic-Con
In San Diego from July 20 to July 24, the 2011 Comic-Con will take place. This is the 41st year for Comic-Con. Not it's considered the largest science fiction/fantasy/film/television conventions in the world. Only 125,000 can fill the San Diego Convention Center. The last few years, it has been entirely filled. Comic-Con and the San Diego Convention Center are contracted until 2012, although overcrowding is a main concern. Given the problems with selling memberships to the convention and overcrowding, the importance of early planning for your attendance to Comic-Con 2011 is going to be incredibly important. Many of the presentations are also over-sold, as attendance at a presentation isn't assured by a membership to the convention.
