Games To Help Babysitters Entertain Children
Are you looking for suggestions to keep the kids occupied while you babysit them? To make your job as a babysitter much easier, keep the children busy. Parents might be willing to pay you more when they see that their children are active and content with you. Lots of parents are willing to pay good money for a responsible babysitter to look after their kids.
Good sitters will bring things with them that will entertain the kids, perhaps in a sack or backpack. Having a bag filled with travel games, bubbles, crayons or markers, coloring books, and blank paper is a great idea. Little things like this works to keep the children happy. Bringing a good storybook may help immensely.
Babies and young children are fascinated by song, so singing simple songs is an excellent way to spend time with them. Two games that babies love to engage in are peek a boo and pat a cake. These games are ones you will remember from your own childhood. Mirrors offer hours of entertainment for toddlers as they love to watch themselves dance or make faces.
Preschool-aged children really enjoy a quick game of motor boat or ring around the rosy. When they have exhausted that, try giving the child a mirror to amuse himself. Have him make sad, happy, and scary faces. This is also successful when there are two kids. You can play, "Whose face is the scariest?" or "Whose smile is the happiest?"
Games are often played by smaller children, but old children like it too. Set a timer for two minutes or so, and put it out of sight as the children covers their eyes. Whoever finds it gets to hide it to another place. Making funny faces with the kids to crack them up is always a good time. Putting on shows for their parents is another thing loved by kids of all ages. You can use this time together to make up a fun show that their parents can watch once they get back home.
Playing games that are not too wild is a wise idea so when it is time to go to bed they will relax and go to sleep. You can gain a reputation as a good sitter by always having an abundance of activities to keep the children occupied. The time will fly as you and the children have a great time -- and the money at the end will be even better. The babysitting jobs will quickly fill your calendar.
